Scott Heltzel, DPT, MTC, OCS, Cert MDT has been a professional since 2002. Scott is a graduate of Bermudian Springs High School, veteran of the U.S. Army, received a Bachelor’s degree from Bloomsburg University and his Doctorate degree from the University of Saint Augustine for Health Sciences.
He received his certification in Manual Therapy in 2004, certification in the McKenzie Spine System of Diagnosis and Treatment in 2007, and certification as an Orthopedic Specialist in 2008. In addition to treating all Orthopedic and neurological conditions, Scott specializes in treatment of headaches, TMJ dysfunction, spinal dysfunction, sacroiliac problems, and vestibular care.
He resides in Dillsburg with his wife and 4 children, and enjoys spending time with family and friends, weightlifting, and bodybuilding competition.
Dr. Cole Hernandez
(DPT, Doctor of Physical Therapy, Staff Physical Therapist)
Cole Hernandez, DPT has been a practicing Physical Therapist since 2020. Cole has been in Pennsylvanian for much of his life, as he was a graduate of Littlestown Senior High School. Following his early education Cole went on to receive a bachelor’s degree in Health and Rehabilitation Science, with a certificate in patho-kinesiology from the University of Pittsburgh. His graduate level work was spent at Slippery Rock University where he received his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree.
Cole is currently in the process of completing the McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy certification. He has also spent time completing courses in a wide array of topics, including standard orthopedic conditions, sports rehab and neurological conditions. Cole plans on to further his studies in performance-based sports rehab and has aspirations to receive his Certification as an Orthopedic Specialist.
He resides in Hanover, PA where he enjoys spending time with family, friends and his significant other Haley. When not in the clinic, Cole also enjoys participating in various events challenging his fitness including weightlifting, running and sports of all kinds.
Dr. Sarah Gillisse
(DPT, Doctor of Physical Therapy, Staff Physical Therapist)
Dr. Sarah Gillisse, DPT, has been a practicing physical therapist since 2022. Sarah graduated with her Bachelor’s of Science in Applied Health Science from Messiah University. She then received her Doctor of Physical therapy from Arcadia University in 2022.
Sarah looks forward to furthering her education in vestibular rehabilitation with aspirations to become a Certified Vestibular Therapist. She also hopes to continue working toward becoming a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist as she takes a special interest in weightlifting. She has taken other various courses about standard orthopedic conditions, neurological conditions, and sports performance.
She currently resides in Elizabethtown with her husband. She enjoys spending time outdoors, cooking, weightlifting, and watching sports.
Heather Brown
(PTA, Physical Therapy Assistant)
Heather Brown has been a Physical Therapist Assistant since 2016. Heather graduated from Cumberland Valley High School in 2013. She attended HACC for general education and later transferred to Central Penn College for her PTA degree. Later she received her certification for Graston Technique (IASTM) in 2017 and her certification Kinesiotaping in 2019.
She currently resides in Dillsburg with her husband and son. They attend Mt. Pleasant Church of God and as a family they enjoy camping, hiking, and spending time with friends and family.
Kelsey Heltzel
(PT Aide and Front Desk Coordinator)
Kelsey Heltzel currently attends Messiah University, majoring in Sport Management. She will graduate in 2025 and would like to work with the admin department for a sports team. She also plays field hockey as a mid-fielder at Messiah University. Kelsey has worked at Freedom as a PT Aide and Front Desk Coordinator since 2022, and has loved every minute of it.
Nicholas Kempen
(Front Desk Coordinator)
Nick joined Freedom as the Front Desk Coordinator in October 2022. He is originally from Madison, Wisconsin aka “The Frozen Tundra,” and transplanted here in Pennsylvania in 2019 upon graduating from Winona State with a bachelor’s degree in Social Work. He resides in Fayetteville, PA located between Chambersburg and Gettysburg. During his commute, he enjoys listening to audiobooks. When not at work he enjoys cooking, baking, playing with his two dogs, Chloe and Charlie, and spending time with his wife, her family, and friends.
